Daniel Campi
Daniel Campi was born in London to Catalan and English parents. After studying English at Sussex University, he moved to Barcelona, which has been his home since 1991. Daniel co-founded and managed the ACT theatre company and wrote four plays in English, which went on to tour Spain to critical and public acclaim. He then worked in the editorial department at Plaza & Janés (Bertelsmann), Spain's premier publishing company, assessing the suitability of books and manuscripts for publication in the Spanish market and writing press dossiers in English to promote Spanish writers abroad. He later re-located to Madrid to set up a multi-media website for the film producers and distributors Lolafilms. After his defection to 'the other side', Daniel returned to Barcelona to use his copy-writing experience to help launch websites and create corporate communications for different Barcelona-based businesses and clients. He continues to work as a journalist, translator and editor for different magazines and print media and is contributing editor to Barcelona’s local English language magazine, Metropolitan.

Daniel lives in the centre of Barcelona and, when not busy with his professional commitments, makes infrequent appearances as a midfielder for one of Barcelona’s worst football teams.
